What You'll LOVE in Lake Barrington

The combination of Lake Barrington’s pretty properties, top-notch public services, and easy access to big-city amenities in Chicago make it the perfect place to call home. And we’re confident you’ll feel right at home when you get one taste of the area’s strong sense of community.

Wild Onion Brewery

In honor of its old ties to the city of Chicago, this brewery got its name from the wild onions that grew throughout the area’s wetlands. And just like the distinct aroma of wild onions, Wild Onion Brewery has an unmistakable menu selection of craft beers and hearty comfort food. You can always count on a delicious lineup of craft beers year-round, plus an ever-changing rotation of seasonal favorites.

Biltmore Country Club

Home to Barrington’s only private beach, unsurpassed hospitality, and plenty of space to celebrate community events, the Biltmore Country Club is a landmark of the Lake Barrington area. Participate in some friendly competition on the club’s championship tennis courts or its widely-recognized golf greens—and if you work up an appetite, the Grill Room serves up mouth-watering steaks daily.

Freier Farm

In 2007, Lake Barrington acquired the 26-acre Freier Farm from longtime residents of the area. Ever since then, the village has been committed to preserving the historic qualities of the land, including some of the original farmland and farm buildings. Today, Freier Farm is the ultimate community hang spot, with a brick fire pit for s’mores in the summer and a steep hill for sledding in the winter.
